DESCRIPTION
Argentine tango is a genre of music and couple dance of the early 1900s, which originated in Buenos Aires immigration district. The varied music gives space to express both joy, playfulness, passion, drama, harmony and melancholy. Sometimes tangon is described as “life in 3 minutes".

IMPROVERS I
At this course we will work a lot with the technique of posture, embrace and step. But we will also bring in new moves and techniques to enrich your tango repertoire, as well as show you how to use your existing repertoire in milonga and tango waltz.
For those who have finished a beginners course or otherwise learned the basics of Argentine tango.

IMPROVERS II
In this course we will continue working with the circular, where we add calesita, barrida, ganchos, sacadas and boleos to enrich your tango repertoire. The concept is based on creating an interaction within the couple that is suitable for both traditional tango and tango nuevo.
For those who master the elementary basics of the linear "system" and are familiar with ochos and giros.

TIME & LOCATION
4 Saturdays in the spring; 20 January, 17 February, 24 March and 21 April.  
2 hours per course.  Improvers I 11:00 - 13:00. Improvers II 14:00 - 16:00.
The courses are held in Nissasalen at Strandgatan 20, Halmstad.

In the break welcome to join us for lunch (soup) or fika at Kafé Strandgatan Tjugo.

GOOD TO KNOW
Registering in pairs is preferred, but it is also possible to register as "single" and we will create even pairs as far as possible. (note that upon registration in pairs, both parties must register individually)
Specify whether you want to dance as a follower (often woman), leader (often man), or if you want to test both roles.
